My parents joined us 3 days into our adventure with Jenn and Rach. So, our 4 some became a 6 some! Wednesday, we took it easy, Mike, Jenn, Rach and I went to paint pottery while Mom and Dad rested. On Thursday, much to our dismay, it was storming. We had planned to go to Plimoth Plantation that day, and fortunately, my wise and calm husband threw caution to the wind and we all piled into the car and landed at Plimoth Plantation. Still raining, we decided to eat our picnic lunch first- and right as we took our final dessert bites- the sun started shining and opened up a gorgeous day!
Eating outside, under a tent a Plimoth Plantation, just like the Pilgrims...

One of my more photogenic moments....
Jenn, Me and Rach at Plymouth Rock (not the rock pictured, just the area:)
Mom was a firecracker baby, born on July 3rd. For breakfast we had Baked Praline French Toast, and then snacked around Lexington and Concord.
Mom's Birthday dinner, we told her that she was getting pizza rolls and appetizers for her birtday bash! She was shocked to discover we had filet mignon, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, and a special surprise for dessert!
We totally surprised her with dessert at the Prudential Center, which is a rooftop restaraunt in the heart of Boston, it is a breathtaking view. The girls got creme brulee, and the boys each got a dozen freshly baked, amazing cookies! Delicious!
On July 4th, we spent the day on the Esplanade, with the rest of Boston- and NEIL DIAMOND!
The Durfee's joined us later...

The Adventures of Family, Part Two......
We played cards all day long, and walked to city from about noon until the events started about 5ish, it was heaven. We packed a delicious lunch of gourmet sandwiches, cucumber cous-cous salad, and watermelon.
....and 5 hours later with 3/4 of our closest friends......
We had a great visit with everyone and was sad to say goodbye, We wrapped up our visit with breakfast a Cracker Barrel, and then headed our separate roads. My folks to D.C., and us to NY, NY. Stay tuned for the next post, "The city so nice, they named it twice..."

The french toast sounds wonderful! I hope to use your pool when we visit so I won't gain weight after eating your great home-cooked food as well as all the eating out we'll do!
